My family and I just love decorating our homes with DIY projects we make together! Almost every year we create and craft together while spending some great quality time together. My dad had a great idea that we should gather PVC Pipe and make ourselves some DIY PVC Snowman Christmas Decorations while decorating them with different buttons, which was my moms idea.
I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to spend family time together, but by crafting and making decorations side by side.
These cute DIY PVC Snowmen were so much fun to make as a family! Then to see all the different variation’s we came up which was outstanding and so exciting!
Materials needed to make these DIY PVC Snowmen
- Bells
- Buttons-all different kinds
- Hot Glue gun and sticks
- Pipe cleaners
- Pompom Balls
- PVC Pipe in 3-4 different measurements-4in, 6in, 8in, and 10in
Designing the faces for our DIY PVC Snowmen Decorations
WE started by setting up the PVC pipe. Next we went through the buttons to see how we wanted to lay all the faces out.
WE grabbed buttons, bells, pompom balls, and pipe cleaners. We then started laying the items out to see what we could come up with for the faces.
Let your imagination come to life here and create amazing faces for these pipes. The sky is the limit here.
Hot Gluing the items to the PVC to make snowmen and snowwomen
Once we had all the faces set out in front of us, we then plugged our hot glue gun in, and waited for it to heat up.
Now that our hot glue gun is ready, we then started to glue and arrange everything onto the PVC pipe.
We used the buttons and bells for the eyes, nose, and mouth. We used the pompom balls for making the ear muffs and the pipe cleaner for the band of the ear muffs. Again use your imagination and see what you come up with.
