The Heart Chakra

The Heart Chakra is our entry point into Universal Love, our connection to the All That Is. When this chakra is open we experience true joy and universal love, kindness, and compassion.

A healthy heart chakra allows us to feel loving towards ourselves as well as others and express these feelings through words and actions. It opens empathy for ourselves and others.

When the Heart Chakra is balanced we feel a sense of compassion and loving-kindness towards ourselves, those around us, strangers, and animals. Our health both physical and emotional improves as does our relationships with others. We are able to forgive much more easily with an open heart.

This chakra opens our hearts to joy letting us savor the beauty, get involved with creative activities, and live more fully in the present moment, and be less entangled in worry and fear. This chakra can also open us up to psychic experiences which may be of a simple nature such as seeing angels or archetypes, or complex visions of past lives.

When this chakra is blocked we express our frustrations with anger and feel betrayed, unloved, and uncared for. We might blame others or withdraw from society in frustration. When this chakra is blocked it affects our perception of the world around us as well as how we interpret messages we receive on all levels of consciousness.

Now if you want to take your healing deeper than what is above, I have listed some more ways you can open and connect with your Heart Chakra.

Yoga

Doing yoga poses for the heart chakra can help you in many ways, for example:

It helps to increase your self-esteem and self-love. By doing these poses you are basically telling yourself that you love yourself first. When our emotions are stable and we have a good sense of self it is easier for us to share that love with others.

It helps to increase positivity in your life. This is especially true if you are doing yoga poses for the heart chakra on a regular basis.

In order to follow through with this, you will need to do these effective yoga poses on a daily and consistent basis. The great thing about yoga is that it doesn’t have to be time-consuming at all.

It is possible to complete the heart chakra yoga poses in under 10 minutes a day, which means that you have plenty of time throughout your day to find an empty space and do them. As long as you have at least 1-2 minutes each day then it can truly help to promote positivity and self-love.

Meditation

The heart is a huge part of our life, from keeping us alive to telling someone how much we love them or give them a heartfelt hug. These actions help to keep us in touch with what is most important in our lives.

How can meditation help us to open up and feel better about ourselves and the world around us?

When we are meditating, it is important to breathe consciously. When you are in a relaxed meditative state, make sure that you keep breathing deeply. This can be done with your eyes closed or open. The more oxygen flowing through your body, the better off you will be physically and emotionally as well as spiritually when you are meditating.

Remember that you are responsible for your own happiness. You have the power within yourself to recognize and embrace how valuable you are as a person. Using this special gift of yours will help you to feel good about yourself as well as those around you! The more love we give out, the more we feel in return!
